(ConservativePeak.Com)- On Wednesday, socialist Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders announced that he was suspending his campaign to become the Democratic presidential nominee. That same day, President Donald Trump tweeted that he should thank Senator Elizabeth Warren for destroying his campaign.
Today I am suspending my campaign. But while the campaign ends, the struggle for justice continues on. https://t.co/MYc7kt2b16

In a live stream posted to Twitter, Sanders told his supporters that he was many delegates behind presumed nominee former Vice President Joe Biden.
“I wish I could give you better news, but I think you know the truth, and that is that we are now some 300 delegates behind Vice President Biden, and the path toward victory is virtually is impossible,” Sanders said.
“So while we are winning the ideological battle and while we are winning the support of so many young people and working people throughout the country, I have concluded that this battle for the Democratic nomination will not be successful. And so today I am announcing the suspension of my campaign.”
The claim that Sanders “won the ideological battle” is similar to the suggestion by the British Labour Party that they “won the argument” when they lost the 2019 General Election to Conservative Boris Johnson.
In a tweet, responding to the news, President Donald Trump thanked Elizabeth Warren for making it happen.
“Bernie Sanders is OUT!,” he said. “Thank you to Elizabeth Warren. If not for her, Bernie would have won almost every state on Super Tuesday! This ended just like the Democrats & the DNC wanted, same as the Crooked Hillary fiasco.”
Bernie Sanders is OUT! Thank you to Elizabeth Warren. If not for her, Bernie would have won almost every state on Super Tuesday! This ended just like the Democrats & the DNC wanted, same as the Crooked Hillary fiasco. The Bernie people should come to the Republican Party, TRADE!

Incredibly, the president even suggested that the “Bernie people should come to the Republican Party.” His suggestion actually may not come as a surprise to some Democrats, as the president has shared some similar platforms to Bernie Sanders, particularly on trade.
Just before the Super Tuesday primaries, Elizabeth Warren and a host of other Democratic candidates dropped out of the race. In doing so, Bernie Sanders’ campaign was doomed…because they all endorsed Biden!
So, it looks like it’s going to be Biden vs. Trump in 2020. How do you think that’s going to go down?
