Biden Accused Of “Hiding” By Top Congressman

( House Minority Whip Steve Scalise slammed the president on Monday, describing how the crisis on the border is just getting worse because of his policies.

“What President Trump was doing was working,” he said. “Biden may not like President Trump, but if his policy was working, at least continue on with that.”

Scalise made the comments during an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business and said that the policies implemented under Biden’s executive order could still be reversed. It would end the humanitarian crisis that has required Biden to open yet more detention facilities and even detain children for several days longer than is allowed by law, and longer than under the Trump administration.

“They’re overwhelming communities along the border, and it seems like he doesn’t care about their plight because he’s carrying out socialist agenda that the left wants,” Scalise added.

Why doesn’t Biden ever consider what’s happening to American communities near the border?

“This isn’t some social experiment. This is having a devastating impact on these young children coming across without parents in many cases, left to just be fending for themselves after being exploited in many cases along the journey, the 20-plus-day journey for some of them,” he added.

Scalise also noted how Biden still refuses to call the problem on the border a crisis, and criticized him for stopping the construction of the wall on his first day in office. He added that the decision cost more money to end the contracts than it would have to continue working.

“What President Biden did is put the open sign at America’s border and they’re coming in by the thousands every day,” Scalise said.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy visited a U.S.-Mexico border ICE facility on Monday in El Paso to discuss the ongoing crisis at the border, slamming President Joe Biden for his role in encouraging illegal aliens to cross the border.

He also took questions from the press, which is something that President Biden still hasn’t done since entering the White House.

Some 100,000 illegal aliens were apprehended by border agents in February alone – roughly three times as many as October 2020, during the Trump administration.

It prompted the president to finally talk about the issue, albeit in a limited fashion, and cautiously tell people planning on crossing the border to “don’t come over.”

That sure sounds convincing…
