Bubba Wallace Tries, FAILS, to Backtrack After DISASTROUS CNN Interview

(ConservativePeak.com)- Bubba Wallace, the NASCAR driver that pushed for the sport to ban the use of Confederate flags at events, was embroiled in a scandal recently when he appeared to suggest somebody planted a “noose” in his garage. The noose turned out to simply be a garage door pull, which lets you pull the garage door down, and he was quickly rushed on to appear on CNN to walk back what happened.

The situation got so bizarre that 15 federal agents, from the FBI, were sent out to investigate the accusation of a hate crime against Wallace in Alabama, only to find out it wasn’t real. If you missed it, here’s what happened.

At the end of last year, somebody tied a loop in a rope that was used to pull down the garage door. Wallace was then assigned this garage at random during the course of his work as a racecar driver. 15 FBI agents determined that it wasn’t a noose, like Wallace expected, but he still went on CNN…to say it was a noose.

On Tuesday night, Wallace appeared on the fake news network to defend his actions, and insist that he was mentally scarred by the incident because it definitely “was a noose.”

By the way, if you want to see a picture of the “noose,” here it is.

The CNN interview backfired massively, because up until then, Wallace hadn’t actually done anything. Wallace wasn’t the one who called the FBI, his colleagues did. And he could have saved himself the drama by telling people that he never believed it was a noose and never roped in (pun not intended) the FBI. But he didn’t…he went on the national news and said it was a noose.

It wasn’t.

So, after the CNN interview, he backtracked again. In a Twitter post, he said that he was “relieved” that the investigation “revealed that this wasn’t what we feared it was.”

So it wasn’t a noose.
