Disgraced Governor Whitmer VIOLATES Her Own Social Distancing Rules During Protest

(ConservativePeak.com)- Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, the Democrat embroiled in a disgraceful scandal that saw her residents locked up at home for months and banned from working on their gardens, was seen breaking her own social distancing guidelines while attending a protest on Thursday. Governor Whitmer, who told protesters to wear a mask and stay six feet away from one another, was seen later that same day breaking the rules and standing in a dense crowd of people.

During a Mojo In The Morning interview, she said, “I encourage everyone who is protesting, if you are out demonstrating or out congregating at all, please wear a mask and please try to stay six feet away from others.”

In footage shared by journalist Jenn Schanz, however, Whitmer is seen protesting in a huge crowd and completely ignoring the orders she gave her residents.

Whitmer, despite being widely condemned for implementing some of the strict lockdown measures in any American state, is still somehow being considered a potential running mate for presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. Perhaps that’s the reason why she took to the streets protesting, chanting “Hands up, don’t shoot,” in what appears to be an attempt at winning over the progressive voters that help catapult candidates to the top of the ranks in the Democratic Party.

Whitmer, who at least wore a mask, stood right next to Lt. Gov. Garland Gilchrist and Bishop Charles Ellis.

When Whitmer’s office was asked about the obvious hypocrisy by Detroit News, the governor’s representatives said that the protest didn’t violate her official executive order because of a line in the legislation.

“Nothing in this order shall be taken to abridge protections guaranteed by the state or federal constitution,” the order reads. It also included the “right to peaceful protests,” according to Whitmer’s office.

So if you open your barbershop, Whitmer will strip you of your license, as she did to a 77-year-old barber who defied the lockdown and opened up to give residents haircuts while implementing sensible protective measures to reduce the spread of the virus. But if you want to protest, and stand next to people for hours, that’s fine.
