Dozens Shot, Four Killed, Over Weekend In Democrat Chicago

( Democrat-run Chicago’s violence and gun crime problem continues to get worse, with 29 people shot from Friday to Sunday morning, four of which were fatal. It’s a huge blow for Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot who continues to blame surrounding states with more relaxed gun laws than Illinois.

CBS 2 reported on Saturday night that 21 people were shot, three being fatal. Then by Sunday morning, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that bad news that 29 people had in fact been shot, and four had died.

The first tragic shooting saw 28-year-old Deangelo Mills shot several times as he stood in the street, on the 5900 block of West Huron Street. The incident occurred at 1:40 am on Saturday and he was rushed to the hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.

Then on Saturday at 3:15 am, on the 2100 block of East 72nd Place, a man was discovered with a gunshot wound in his abdomen. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

20-year-old Daniel Zetina was the third person to die. The shooting took place at 5:30 pm on Saturday and involved somebody walking up to a vehicle and opening fire as Zetina was sat in the car. After taking multiple shots, Zetina died at the hospital.

Then, on Sunday at 1 am, 25-year-old Lavell Mathis was shot when walking in a vacant lot on West Madison Street. A man approached Mathis and opened fire, fatally shooting him several times.

Last week, the Chicago Sun-Times also reported that gun violence was still up by 50% in October, while other crime falls.

The report also explained how 67 Chicago police officers have been shot at, with ten struck by ballots, during the year. That is almost a four-fold increase over 2019.

“There have been 655 murders this year through Oct. 31, while the city had 431 during the same period in 2019 — a 51% increase. For comparison, the murder count was 612 by Oct. 25, 2016,” the outlet reported.

According to conservative outlet Breitbart News, 20 people were also shot on election day in Chicago.
