HYPOCRITE: Biden Hires Aide Who Said Sex Assault Accusations Should DISQUALIFY Candidates

(ConservativePeak.com)- Presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden made the incredible announcement on Wednesday that he has hired a new “senior adviser” who once said that being accused of sexual assault or harassment should disqualify a person from running for public office. To be clear, she said just the accusation online should disqualify a person, leading many people to wonder how she could take the job.

Karine Jean-Pierre served as the Chief Public Affairs Officer for MoveOn.org back in 2017, and during an interview on CNN with Jake Tapper, she said that the accusation of sexual assault should disqualify someone from a race for public office. The comments came during a discussion about Andrea Ramsey, a female congressional candidate for the Democrats in Kansas who dropped out when it was revealed she had sexually harassed one of her male colleagues.

Ramsey told the press that it was untrue but, at the same time, said it was important that victims come forward. It sounds a lot like Biden’s case. Tara Reade, a former Senate staffer, alleges that Biden sexually assaulted her in a corridor in 1993, penetrating her with his fingers without her consent. Biden insists that the claim is untrue but has repeatedly told the media how important it is for survivors to come forward in an attempt to not appear hypocritical.

Ramsey also said that the Democrats were going too far with their “zero tolerance standard” in the case of “false allegations,” and it was in a discussion about this that Jean-Pierre made the wild statement. After Jake Tapper asked her if Ramsey has a point, and is the pendulum has “gone too far,” Jean-Pierre said “No.”

“Look, I think we’re at a point in time in this country where the ‘Me Too’ movement has really take, has really gotten some traction and we’re finally listening to victims, whether they’re women or men,” she said. “And I think if you’re running for office, you can’t have been accused of sexual harassment or assault. And I think that we have to really take that next step here and make sure that it doesn’t happen with anyone in office or out of office.”

Fox News also put together a list of several instances of Jean-Pierre saying “Believe women” or similar, which fly in the face of what Joe Biden and his campaign is doing.

It begs the question…how does Joe Biden square this circle, and how can Jean-Pierre sleep at night?
