(ConservativePeak.com) – Karl Rove, the legendary Republican strategist and commentator, exposed how Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is exploiting the coronavirus outbreak for his campaign’s financial gain.
During an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Rove explained how the former vice president is using the outbreak to fundraise and showed images of emails sent to his supporters to prove it.
“This is unbelievable, what Joe Biden did,” he said.
Showing copies of emails on-screen, Rove said, “Here’s the front page of the emailer. Sent out about 7:40 p.m. tonight.”
He then began reading the email, sent by Joe Biden’s campaign team, which said:
“Here’s a speech I gave this afternoon. This is a long email, but I hope you read it all the way through and forward it to family and friends.”
Rove then skipped to the very end of the email, saying, “Here is the final page! The final page has a ‘Donate to Joe Biden’ button on it! He’s raising money off of it. Here’s exactly what it says at the end, this is what it says,” he said.
“This is not the time to be complacent,” the email read. “If you are ready to fight for the soul of The nation, you can click the button below, donate to elect Joe Biden.”
Rove, clearly enraged, said “the man is raising money off of the coronavirus challenge facing our country. Does he have no shame?”
The Republican strategist asked if there was no decency in the Biden campaign, and discussed how a potential crisis this large and significant should be something the country units around, and not a chance to use it for “crass political purposes.”
Incredibly, Biden doesn’t appear to be the only Democrat profiting from the virus, either. Rove pointed out that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is using similar tactics.
“Have these people no sense of decency, can we not step away from this for just a minute and not politicize everything coming down the line, or is everything being used for fund-raising? ‘We killed Usama bin Laden, send us money!’ ‘We are dealing with the dreamers … send me money!’ Is this where we go as a country?”
It looks like it, Karl!
