Nearly One MILLION Register for Trump’s First Post-Lockdown Rally in Oklahoma

( On Monday morning, President Donald Trump announced huge levels of interest in his first post-lockdown rally that will take place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on June 20th.

“Almost One Million people request tickets for the Saturday Night Rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma!” he announced on Twitter.

It marks a significant milestone for President Trump and his campaign, which if polls are to be believed has been stalling in recent months. The negative impact on the economy that lockdown measures had, and the riots that ensued, have changed how people see Trump’s administration. A perceived lack of action taking on the rioters and the economic damage he couldn’t avoid are hardly helping him. His return to the frontline, and appearing at rallies with tens of thousands of attendees, could perhaps start turning that image around.

The rally was initially scheduled to occur on June 19th, but was rescheduled when people suggested it was disrespectful to hold the event on the “Juneteenth” holiday that celebrates the abolition of slavery in the United States.

Some have suggested that President Donald Trump should not host the rally, given that the country is still experiencing the impact of the Chinese coronavirus. However, with hundreds of thousands of people turning out to riots and demonstrations in recent weeks after the death of George Floyd in Minnesota, one Trump rally is unlikely to make much of a difference. Even Dr. Anthony Fauci of the White House Coronavirus Task Force suggested that hosting a large event isn’t the best idea, given that coronavirus cases are rising In Tulsa, but President Trump hit back.

“The Far Left Fake News Media, which had no Covid problem with the Rioters & Looters destroying Democrat run cities, is trying to Covid Shame us on our big Rallies,” he said. “Won’t work!”
