(ConservativePeak.com)- Former President Barack Obama said during a recent interview with the BBC that he believes there must be greater “regulation and standards” for freedom of speech, claiming that half of the American public pushes conspiracy theories online.
In the interview, he claimed that conspiracy theories – which typically means “things Democrats don’t agree with” – have been “turbocharged” by social media.
For anyone familiar with how this works, it’s a chilling reminder that social media giants aren’t done censoring conservatives yet. If Obama gets his way, and a possible Biden presidency will certainly mean that’s likely, then it could mean conservatives get treated even worse by YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter than they do already.
“It’s going to require a combination of regulation and standards within industries to get us back to the point where we at least recognize a common set of facts,” he told the BBC.

Recognizing a common set of facts? Does Obama think he is the arbiter of truth? This is a guy who said Donald Trump will never be president, that he colluded with the Russians, and that he was a racist.
But he was wrong on all three.
Obama isn’t the only one suggesting that Trump supporters need silencing, or having their minds forcefully changed.
David Atkins, a member of the Democratic National Committee, asked earlier in November how it would be possible to literally “deprogram” every single Trump voter.
“No seriously…how *do* you deprogram 75 million people?” he publicly pondered.
No seriously…how *do* you deprogram 75 million people? Where do you start? Fox? Facebook?
We have to start thinking in terms of post-WWII Germany or Japan. Or the failures of Reconstruction in the South.

“Where do you start? Fox? Facebook?” he continued.
So the Democratic National Committee wants conservatives silenced on social media, too. Nice.
During the BBC interview, Obama also calls Rush Limbaugh and Fox News the original “conspiracy theorists.”
If Biden really does win this thing, it looks like this guy is going to be back in our lives. And this time, he’s coming to make sure we stay quiet.
