(ConservativePeak.com)- According to a report from The Washington Post, socialist Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has recently expressed concern to his colleagues that Joe Biden is blowing the presidential campaign and could well lose in November.
The two-time failed presidential candidate is privately suggesting to his colleagues that unless Biden makes serious changes in his campaign, progressives who are behind the Democratic Party might ultimately turn away from Biden.
The Post says that Sanders “told associates that Biden as at serious risk of coming up short in the November election if he continues his vaguer, more centrist approach, according to the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe sensitive talks.”
Perhaps the most interesting part of this is not that Sanders recognizes that most Americans don’t want the same kind of far-left politics that he and the Antifa/BLM rioters demand, but that he thinks Biden needs to be more radical to win in November. As it stands, Biden is completing a U-turn on the far-left riots taking place across major American cities, condemning violence but attempting to – somehow – shift the blame to President Donald Trump.
Sanders is reportedly concerned that the young, progressive wing of the Democratic Party isn’t being given the attention it “deserves,” seemingly failing to realize that most Americans – particularly middle America – don’t support the same radicalism that young students do.
The Post’s sources say that Sanders thinks Biden should shift significantly to the left in the final few weeks before the election, something that Trump campaign would probably love to see.
“The senator has identified several specific changes he’d like to see,” The Post reports. “Saying Biden should talk more about health care about his economic plans, and should campaign more with figures popular among young liberals, such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.”
Can you imagine that? Joe Biden alongside “the Squad” and vying for the support of young extremists who are overwhelmingly in support of the Antifa/BLM protests and riots?
Biden may want to take Sanders’ advice with a pinch of salt. While he has a large and energized base, Sanders has the baggage of being a far-left radical, a socialist, and sometimes even described as a communist sympathizer. The young radicals like AOC that he supports have the support of young Democrats, but in states like Wisconsin, Democrats are flocking to the Republican Party over the Democrats’ shift to the radical left.
Just this month, six Democrat mayors in Wisconsin switched to supporting President Trump over their concerns about radicals in their party.
