(ConservativePeak.Com)- President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that his administration believes Iran, along with its proxies, are preparing sneak attacks on American forces currently in Iraq.
“Upon information and belief, Iran or its proxies are planning a sneak attack on U.S. troops and/or assets in Iraq,” the president wrote on Twitter.
Upon information and belief, Iran or its proxies are planning a sneak attack on U.S. troops and/or assets in Iraq. If this happens, Iran will pay a very heavy price, indeed!

“If this happens, Iran will pay a very heavy price, indeed!”
In January, the United States military justified the drone strike that killed extremist former Quds Force General Qasem Solemeini by citing the imminent attack on U.S. forces from Iran. The latest news that Iran is considering another attack on the American military will surprise few.
Naturally, it seems like only the President and his colleagues are willing to defend the United States in the face of constant and escalating aggression from Iran. Just days ago, Reps. Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez signed a letter encouraging the president to end sanctions on Iran.
In a tweet, Minnesota Representative Omar announced how she, Ocasio-Cortez, and even Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders were calling on President Trump to end the Iran sanctions because of the spread of the Chinese coronavirus.
“I led a letter with [Rep. Ocasio-Cortez] and [Sen. Bernie Sanders] demanding this Administration end sanctions against Iran during the COVID-19 pandemic,” she said.
These sanctions aren’t changing the behavior of the Iranian government, but directly punishing innocent civilians. https://t.co/odymQAN3cn

Omar’s argument? That the sanctions aren’t changing the behavior of the Iranian government.
The news that the Iranian military may be planning sneak attacks on the U.S. military means Omar is right, but her suggestion that appeasing Iran might be a better solution will be a tough sell to most of America.
