(ConservativePeak.Com)- Angry Ohio residents expressed their frustration with the state government on Monday when they formed a protest outside the Ohio Statehouse. Protesters could be heard chanting while Governor Mike DeWine held a press conference with Lt. Gov. Jon Husted and the Director of Ohio’s Department of Health, Dr. Amy Acton.
The protesters called for an end to the stay-at-home order put in place across the state in an attempt to control the spread of the Chinese coronavirus. Many believe that the measures are simple too harsh, with banners reading “the cure is worse than the virus.”
You can see, in the video below, that people weren’t happy with Dr. Amy Acton, either. Some signs said, “Amy please leave,” and the frustration can be heard loudly even from within the meeting room.

The anger is very real. 16.8 million people have filed for unemployment benefits in the United States in the last three weeks, and the numbers are just getting worse. The longer the economy stays shut down the longer it will be to rebuild, and in the meantime, people are struggling to pay the bills and get by.
These Ohio protesters know it, too. Most attendees were not wearing face coverings, either, implying that some in attendance cared more about just the economy and believed the virus isn’t as serious as the government claims.
President Donald Trump has said himself that the cure must not be worse than the virus, but that doesn’t stop the virus being deadly. The number of people who have died as a result of the virus in the United States has now surpassed Italy, and in mid-April surpassed 2,000 fatalities in just one day. It’s going to keep getting worse, too.
Protestors back again at the Ohio Statehouse – they can’t be heard from the room where Gov. DeWine is doing the briefing, but they’re loud outside the Atrium where reporters are answering questions. pic.twitter.com/8QQ5mvsGvQ

This week, President Trump announced that he has launched a second Coronavirus Task Force focused solely on fixing the economy. He also said that he plans to open the US economy in the near future, with some states potentially opening up before the end of the month.
